Scott Billey | Chief Difference Maker

Role: As the Chief Difference Maker, Scott will be working to plan events and raise participant and sponsor money to support our goals.

Expertise: Scott is the Director of Innovation and Technology for a 6,000 member international insurance association based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In that role, he works with the Board of Trustees, Executive Director and other key staff on day to day operations and emerging strategy.

Background: Scott was raised by parents who subscribed to the theory “If you keep your kids busy and tired, they won’t get in trouble.” To that end, Scott played hockey, baseball, football, and was active in both band and orchestra. Through participation in sports and now coaching, Scott recognizes the unique lessons and benefits that sports, music and other recreational activities can teach. Scott has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Minnesota at Duluth and a Juris Doctor degree from Hamline University School of Law. In his spare time, he enjoys playing hockey, coaching baseball, soccer and hockey and playing Lego’s with his son.

Scott is married to Marla and has a son named Aleks.
